On June 2, 2026, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) and the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology at HCM-UTE hosted a high-level delegation from Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), Taiwan. This exciting meeting unlocks incredible global academic pathways and research opportunities in environmental and sustainable technology. 

 

 

The discussion was honored by the presence ofProf. Chih-Lin Lin (Professor, Chairman of Department of Environmental Engineering - CYCU) alongside leaders from both universities, establishing key collaborative milestones: 
 🔬 Flexible Lab Internships: Student exchange opportunities for hands-on research in CYCU’s advanced laboratories for 1 month, 1 semester, or longer.
🎓 Joint Master's Program (1+1): A dual pathway featuring 1 year of study at HCM-UTE and 1 year at CYCU.
🧬 Joint Research & Co-Supervision: Collaborative research projects and co-supervision for Master and PhD students.
🌱 Global Courses & Competitions: Access to Free Online Training Courses in Waste Management & Resources Circulation (WMRC II 2027) and the Soil and Groundwater Investigation and Remediation Research Competition Taiwan 2027.
✨ Special Highlight: During the student engagement session, 8 talented students from the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology directly interviewed with CYCU professors. They confidently pitched their future plans for Master's degrees, research directions, and lab internships, deeply impressing the Taiwanese delegation.
