On May 11, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCMUTE) was privileged to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MESD) of Bhutan. This visit marks a significant milestone in fostering educational diplomacy and technical cooperation between our institutions.

The working session focused on several key pillars of HCMUTE’s international expertise:

🔹 Global Mobility: An overview of the university’s development and our comprehensive Student Exchange Programmes.

🔹 International Curricula: A presentation of our 18 English-taught academic programmes, showcasing our readiness for global integration.

🔹 Vocational & Technical Excellence: A showcase of specialised projects and activities in TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) and STEM, emphasising HCMUTE’s leadership in practical education.

The core of our discussion revolved around strategic implementation pathways for TVET and STEM collaboration between Bhutanese colleges and universities and HCMUTE. Both parties expressed a strong commitment to enhancing vocational skills and technological innovation for the next generation of professionals.

To ensure the success of these initiatives, both sides have agreed to organise a follow-up Zoom meeting to finalise the specific details of the cooperation framework. We look forward to a fruitful and long-lasting partnership with the Ministry of Education and Skills Development of Bhutan!
