We are excited to announce a significant milestone in our internationalisation journey! On March 16, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE) hosted a high-level meeting with Handwerkskammer (HWK) Erfurt, Germany, to pave the way for transformative exchange programmes.

🤝 A Vision for Global Competence
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh (Vice President of HCM-UTE) and Mr. Thomas Malcherek (Managing Director of Erfurt Chamber of Crafts and Trades) led discussions focused on enhancing practical training for our students and lecturers in Germany.
💡 Key Highlights from the Discussion:
- Student Exchange Models: We are exploring flexible internship programmes (2 to 10 months) that could be recognised as academic credits.
- Lecturer Development: Opportunity for HCM-UTE faculty to participate in 4-week specialised training in Germany.
- Collaborative Curriculum: Both institutions will align training programmes over the next two months to ensure seamless integration.
- Formal Partnership: A General Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is in the works to solidify this long-term cooperation.
🚀 What’s Next?
HCM-UTE is preparing to share 18 advanced training programmes with HWK Erfurt to identify the best matches for our students. This partnership aims to provide you with world-class technical skills and exposure to the German "Dual Training" excellence.
