On 4 and 5 August, 2025, 18 Information Systems students from Soegijapranata Catholic University (SCU), Indonesia, took part in a highly productive and insightful industry visit in Vietnam, supported by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE). The programme aimed to help students explore potential internship opportunities and receive guidance on thesis topics.

Over the course of two days, the students visited two leading technology companies: FPT Software F-Town 3 Campus and Bosch Global Software Technologies Co. Ltd. These visits provided them with valuable insights into current trends in information technology, manufacturing, electronic products, and high-tech engineering. They also gained a deeper understanding of both companies’ mission, vision, and working environment. A highlight of the tour was the opportunity to experience AI-powered solutions at Bosch, where students observed how artificial intelligence can be applied to deliver smart and efficient customer service.

Beyond technical knowledge, the programme served as a platform for cultural exchange and opened opportunities for future employment. SCU students had the chance to engage with professionals, ask questions, and better understand the expectations of global tech companies.

The programme concluded with a campus tour and an informative meeting between HCMUTE’s lecturers from the Faculty of Information Technology and SCU students. Discussions focused on potential academic research and software development projects, which will continue online under the co-supervision of lecturers from their home university and HCMUTE after the SCU students return home.
