On the morning of July 17, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) had the pleasure of hosting a warm and productive working session with a delegation from the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) – one of the top-ranked public universities in the United States.
The delegation was led by Professor Bui Thanh Tan, Co-director of the Center for Scientific Machine Learning at the renowned Oden Institute. During the meeting, he shared valuable insights into UT Austin’s advanced academic programs and introduced the successful “Texas Global” student exchange initiative. He expressed a clear vision for establishing mutual partnership programs that bring meaningful benefits to both institutions.
The discussion highlighted UT Austin’s strong interest in forming a strategic collaboration with HCMUTE to advance Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) in Vietnam – a highly promising field that bridges scientific theory, advanced mathematics, and real-world engineering applications. UT Austin is committed to contributing its academic expertise to support HCMUTE in building a cutting-edge CSE curriculum.
The meeting concluded on a high note of openness and optimism. Both sides are confident that this collaboration will pave the way for transformative academic opportunities and foster long-term development for faculty and students alike.
