On July 24, 2025, HCMUTE had the great honor of welcoming a delegation from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) and their industry partners for a dynamic and promising international collaboration meeting!

The delegation, led by Prof. Chao-Lung Yang, introduced Taiwan Tech’s exceptional standing as the #1 Technical and #1 Internationalized University in Taiwan. The spotlight of our discussion was the innovative INTENSE Program, a government-industry-university collaboration designed to attract top global talent to Taiwan. The program offers a comprehensive framework for international students, including substantial scholarship opportunities, industry-sponsored living allowances, paid internships, and guaranteed post-graduation employment in Taiwan.

We explored concrete collaborative models, including 2+2 dual-degree programs, and HCMUTE's proposal to enhance this with a dedicated "+1" year for structured industry internships was met with great enthusiasm. Furthermore, Taiwan Tech has generously offered to provide foundational Chinese language courses to ensure our students are fully prepared for success. This landmark collaboration is set to establish the "international circulation base," creating a seamless talent pipeline between Vietnam and Taiwan and providing our students with an unparalleled advantage in the global market.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement between both institutions to proceed with the drafting and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This formal agreement will establish a foundational framework for future collaboration, including exchange program, joint research, and the development of dual-degree programs. HCMUTE looks forward to finalizing this agreement and embarking on a new chapter of international cooperation that will provide invaluable opportunities for students and faculty.
