From 17 to 28 November 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) welcomed Dr. Sherif Attallah, Associate Professor from Ball State University (USA), to take part in academic and teaching activities under the Fulbright Scholar Program.

During his time at HCMUTE, Dr. Attallah was actively involved in a series of professional activities organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering. He delivered lectures and seminars focusing on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, sustainable construction, and modern construction management. Through these sessions, students had the opportunity to learn about real-world applications of MEP systems and their important role in the design, construction, and operation of contemporary buildings.

The highlight of the academic programme was Seminar 3: “MEP Systems in Construction 2”, held on 24 November 2025, at Room A305. In this seminar, Dr. Attallah introduced key principles of MEP systems and explained how MEP works closely with architectural and structural components. By using visual materials, real project examples, and open discussions, he helped students better understand system-based thinking and practical engineering approaches in building design.

In addition to classroom activities, Dr. Attallah also worked with faculty members and research groups of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. He shared research experience, discussed current trends in green building and energy efficiency, and exchanged ideas on future academic collaboration. These discussions provided valuable learning opportunities for both lecturers and students.

At the end of his Fulbright visit, the Faculty of Civil Engineering expressed its appreciation for Dr. Sherif Attallah’s contributions during his time at HCMUTE. His academic activities not only enriched the learning experience for students but also supported the university’s efforts to strengthen international academic exchange and cooperation.
