On October 31, 2025, representatives from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) met with delegates from the University of Lille to explore potential academic collaborations. The meeting focused on student exchanges, joint research initiatives, and programme development, especially in the fields of Engineering, IT, Management, and Material Science.

HCMUTE shared its partnership with European institutions under the Erasmus+ framework and expressed interest in stronger ties with the University of Lille The university is expanding its English-taught programs and plans to establish a French Language Centre.

The University of Lille, recognised for its student support services, proposed offering free French language classes for exchange students and discussed opportunities for dual-degree programmes. Both sides are keen to establish long-term cooperation with active academic exchanges and research collaboration.
