On 19 September 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) had the pleasure of hosting representatives from Pace University (USA), including Mr. Zachary Karp, Associate Director of Graduate Admission, and Mr. Saqid Siddiqui, Associate Director of Global Outreach.
The meeting opened with an introduction to Pace University, which is ranked among the top 6% nationally for return on investment and has been recognized by Harvard University’s Opportunity Insights as the leading private university in the United States for upward economic mobility. With students from over 100 countries worldwide, Pace offers a transformative education combining a liberal arts foundation with practical, hands-on learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Pace representatives also highlighted the Inspire Workshop, designed to prepare international students for careers by connecting them with internship and employment opportunities. Notably, 97% of the Class of 2024 secured employment or pursued further studies within six months of graduation.
During the discussion, HCMUTE presented its existing 2+2, 3+1, and exchange programs, as well as opportunities for research collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence and mechanical engineering, with plans to further expand into management-related fields. The Pace delegation expressed strong interest in these initiatives, while also acknowledging that the high cost of living in the U.S. remains a challenge for Vietnamese students. In response, Pace emphasized the availability of merit-based scholarships, financial aid, on-campus housing, and research funding to support international students.

Both institutions agreed to maintain close communication and schedule follow-up meetings to identify concrete areas of cooperation. The visit marked a promising step toward building a sustainable partnership between HCMUTE and Pace University.
