On 19 September 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU), Canada, to its main campus. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for both institutions to exchange information and explore avenues for future cooperation.
During the meeting, HCMUTE representatives presented an overview of the university’s history, campuses, curriculum, and international collaborations. The Faculty of International Education highlighted its programs serving more than 5,000 students, while expressing strong interest in establishing partnerships with Canadian universities, as no collaboration has yet been formed in this region.

On behalf of Wilfrid Laurier University, Ms. Kathy Hogarth introduced WLU’s campuses in Waterloo, Brantford, and Milton, its renowned co-op education programs, and the university’s organization of Canada’s largest job fairs twice a year. She also emphasized WLU’s active student mobility network with 87 partner countries, underlining a strong commitment to welcoming more Vietnamese students in the future.

Both institutions recognized significant potential for collaboration, particularly in the areas of academic exchange, internships, and joint initiatives. The meeting concluded with positive discussions, laying the groundwork for a promising and sustainable partnership between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education and Wilfrid Laurier University.
