Recently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE) hosted a strategic working session with the delegation from National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan. The meeting focused on high-tech collaboration, particularly in IC Design, AI, and Semiconductor technology.

✨ Key Highlights:
🤖 Advanced Tech: Dr. Wang Chua-Chin (NSYSU) introduced AI applications in underwater research and secure communication systems using digital fingerprints.
🛠 The Roadmap to IC Design: Both sides discussed a practical pathway for HCM-UTE to develop its first "in-house" chips. Students and faculty will have the opportunity to visit Taiwanese labs to use official PDKs and perform chip tape-outs.
📉 Cost-Effective Innovation: Through this partnership, the cost of chip fabrication can be reduced to just 10% of the commercial price, making research highly viable.
🎓 Generous Scholarship Opportunities at NSYSU
🤝 The visit concluded with a laboratory tour at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Both universities reaffirmed their commitment to long-term cooperation, aiming to empower the next generation of semiconductor engineers in Vietnam!
