ELEVATE OUR SCALE – DRIVE OUR GROWTH! 

We are honored to formally inform the public that, effective from 26 December 2025,  our institution will officially adopt the following name: 
HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING (HCM-UTE)

For reference, the institution was formerly known as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE). The official English name is now Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering, with the standardised abbreviation HCM-UTE.

This change has been duly ratified by the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of  Viet Nam. It is implemented in accordance with a newly promulgated policy of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), aimed at recognising and further consolidating the country’s leading universities specialising in technology and engineering.

The adoption of our new name represents a significant milestone in our institutional development and innovation, and reflects our continued commitment to academic excellence as well as the expansion of meaningful international cooperation.
