On the afternoon of October 20, 2025, at the Stateroom, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) had the honour of welcoming H.E. Julien Guerrier—the EU Ambassador to Vietnam—and his working delegation.

Previously, HCMUTE actively participated in the European Union’s Erasmus+ projects and served as the lead coordinator for the GreenEdAsia project under this programme. As one of the five key higher-education institutions in engineering and technology, HCMUTE is currently leading a Center of Excellence and Talent in Renewable and Hydrogen Energy—fields the EU prioritises for research and development toward green and sustainable growth.

The visit by the Ambassador and the EU delegation not only demonstrates the European Union’s deep interest in education–research cooperation in Vietnam in general and at HCMUTE in particular but also opens many prospects for strategic collaboration between the two sides in areas such as higher education, scientific research, and sustainable energy development.

This is an important step forward, helping to strengthen the cooperative relationship between HCMUTE and the European Union and toward building an education system closely linked with innovation and green development in the future.
