On January 9, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE) warmly welcomed a delegation from Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT), Japan, for a working visit aimed at discussing potential cooperation in education, research, and engineering innovation.

The meeting brought together representatives from both universities to exchange institutional information and explore collaboration opportunities, particularly in engineering research, advanced manufacturing, plasma technology, and mechanical engineering. HCM-UTE introduced its core faculties, key research areas, and ongoing international initiatives, while NUT shared its educational philosophy, GIGAKU – the Science of Technology, along with its engineering-focused programmes, research facilities, and scholarship opportunities for international students.

During the discussion, both sides expressed strong interest in strengthening academic and research collaboration. Topics included joint research activities, faculty and student exchange programmes, and the alignment of academic strengths to ensure effective and sustainable cooperation.

The meeting concluded in a warm and positive atmosphere with a gift exchange, a group photo session, and a campus tour, marking an important step toward building a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership between HCM-UTE and Nagaoka University of Technology.
