The international cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE) and Mahasarakham University (MSU), Thailand, has reached another meaningful milestone! From July 6th to 9th, 2026, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, in collaboration with various specialized faculties at HCM-UTE, successfully hosted a vibrant 4-day academic exchange program for 30 outstanding students from MSU. Built around the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program aimed to enhance academic exchange, foster student-led research projects, and build intercultural connections in a globalized learning environment.

Throughout the intensive 4-day itinerary, the 30 Thai students were immersed in multidisciplinary research projects and academic experiences across four core faculties at HCM-UTE: Faculty of Chemistry and Life Sciences, Faculty of Transportation and Energy, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Foreign Languages

Key Highlights of the Program:
- Interdisciplinary Research Approach: Guided closely by HCM-UTE’s dedicated faculty members, students stepped outside their traditional majors. They participated in diverse cross-functional research groups covering food technology, international business, logistics, accounting, language education, tourism, and finance—all geared toward sustainable solutions.
- Practical & Global Learning Environment: Students engaged in fieldwork, attended lectures, and interacted directly with HCM-UTE peers. The modern facilities and proactive English-speaking environment allowed international students to seamlessly adapt, pitch innovative ideas, and sharpen their multicultural teamwork skills.

- The Grand Finale: On the morning of July 9th, 2026, the program culminated in a Final Report Presentation and Closing Ceremony at Meeting Room 2 (6th Floor, Central Building). The student groups confidently presented their research findings and practical solutions reflecting Vietnam's sustainability context before an academic review board. To honor their hard work, HCM-UTE proudly awarded certificates and commemorative gifts to all participating MSU students, lecturers, and support staff.

The academic exchange program between HCM-UTE and Mahasarakham University was a resounding success, creating unforgettable memories and delivering high academic value. By weaving the SDGs into tangible student research, the program strongly underscores HCM-UTE’s commitment to fostering global citizens equipped with innovation, expertise, and social responsibility. This successful collaboration further cements HCM-UTE’s strategic vision toward internationalization, paving the way for even more regional partnerships and global opportunities for our students in the future! 🚀🌏
