Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) – founded in 1963 by Mr. Yung-Ching Wang (1917–2008) and Mr. Yung-Zai Wang (1921–2014), co-founders of the Formosa Plastics Group – is one of Taiwan’s leading technical universities. MCUT currently has three colleges: College of Engineering, College of Environment and Resources, and College of Management and Design.

 The university is well-known for its strong industry-academia collaboration, with specialized research centers such as the Biochemical Technology R&D Center, Center for Thin Film Technologies and Applications, Battery Research Center of Green Energy, Organic Electronics Research Center, and Center on Reliability Engineering – all dedicated to turning research into real-world industry innovations.
